No growing city in the world has ever been successful relying ONLY on the automobile for transportation. If you think of cities with the worst congestion they are usually cities with poor bicycle infrastructure…the only way to get around is by car. However, there are many cities that don’t have traffic or air quality issues and that have a healthier population…and they include bicycles in the transportation mix. Here’s just one…Copenhagen. There are lessons from these cities who have figured it out…that can be applied in Southern Utah as we deal with growth and traffic. Just food for thought…
