Tour of Utah Overview Video
August 20, 2018Road Work Ahead
September 18, 2018On September 4, 2018, a pavement preservation, 11 miles of micro-surface will begin on SR-9 from I-15 through Hurricane to approximately 700 North. This will impact traffic with delays and heavy construction vehicles in the area for several weeks. Much of the work will occur at night to minimize delayed traffic. Cyclists should be aware and take precautions riding SR-9 during this time.
The SR-17 micro-surface project is complete from Toquerville to Anderson Junction. Shoulders were widened where possible and lanes re-striped to allow a bit more space for cyclists in tight areas. Although we’d like to have had more room on this route, there is some improvement. The structure replacement at Anderson Junction and I-15 is still under construction but should be a minimal impact to cyclists.
On Bluff Street, pavement will be mostly complete by early October but other construction activities will continue through mid November. It is advised to take the detour set up by the contractor to bypass the construction zone until the pavement operation is complete.
